Sponsored content is labelled as such. The sites herculescaves.com (Caves of Hercules), badi-palace.com, saadian-tombs.com and visitbahiapalace.com (Marrakech monuments), which we recommend for tickets, belong to the network of MarrakechLocal LLC, the company of TangerLocal's founder.

Privacy

Controller. TangerLocal is published by Abdellah Amejal, in Tangier. Contact: the number and address given above.

What the site does not do. No visitor account, no advertising, no cookie, no tracking tool from a third-party company (no Google Analytics, no social media pixel).

What stays in your browser. Your favourites, your route, your choice of language and, if you express it, your refusal of audience measurement are stored only in your browser (local storage), because you asked for it. They are not sent to the site. You can delete them by clearing the site's data.

Audience measurement. To find out which pages are useful, a small script on the site sends our server, for each page viewed: the page address, the site you came from, and certain clicks (WhatsApp, phone, ticketing, partner links, Google Maps, ordering the PDF guide, creating a route, adding to favourites, searches on the site). The server deduces the country (provided by Cloudflare) and the type of device. It calculates a technical identifier from your IP address, your browser and a random value for the day; the IP address is never stored, and the random value is destroyed at the end of the day, which makes the identifier impossible to recalculate: you cannot be recognised from one day to the next. E-mail addresses and numbers typed into the search are deleted before storage; the text you write in WhatsApp is never sent to the site.

Purpose and retention. These data are used only to produce visitor statistics for TangerLocal. They are not sold, shared or combined with other data. Detailed events are deleted after 35 days; daily totals (without an identifier) are kept for 25 months at most. They are stored with Cloudflare (D1 database).

Objecting to measurement. Stop being counted on this browser (cancel this choice). If your browser sends the "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" signal, no measurement is made. An ad blocker may also prevent measurement: the site works in the same way.

Google Search Console. Google provides us with aggregated statistics on how the site appears in its results (impressions, clicks, queries); they contain no data about you.

Third-party services. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes the technical connection data needed to display the pages. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts: your browser then contacts Google's servers. The WhatsApp, phone and Google Maps buttons open third-party services subject to their own rules.

Your rights. You can write to us with any question or request for access or deletion. As we keep neither your IP address nor any lasting identifier, we generally cannot find data concerning you.
