Frequently asked questions about tickets

Where can I buy a ticket for a monument in Morocco?

At the monument's ticket office, or online before your visit. For the Caves of Hercules, Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs and El Badi Palace, MarrakechLocal LLC, the company that owns TangerLocal, sells tickets online on herculescaves.com, visitbahiapalace.com, saadian-tombs.com and badi-palace.com. The Ministry of Culture also has an online ticket office (e-services.minculture.gov.ma), and the Kasbah Museum sells its tickets on fnm.ma.

Is an online ticket more expensive than a ticket at the gate?

Yes, on the MarrakechLocal LLC sites: €11 for the Caves of Hercules, against 80 DH at the gate for a foreign adult, and €12.99 for each of the three Marrakech monuments, against 100 DH. The official price is shown alongside; the difference pays for buying the ticket for you, WhatsApp assistance, free cancellation and, in Marrakech, the audio guide.

How do I receive a ticket bought online?

By email, as a QR code, with the booking confirmation; it can also be sent by WhatsApp. According to Marrakech Local, the code carries no name and no date.

Can I cancel a monument ticket bought online?

On the MarrakechLocal LLC sites, cancellation is free with a full refund as long as the QR code has not been sent. Once it has been sent, the ticket can no longer be refunded, unless the monument was closed on the planned day, the ticket was not valid or the code was not delivered before the visit.

How do I pay for tickets online?

In euros, all taxes included, by card (Stripe) or PayPal, under MarrakechLocal LLC's terms. The amount charged is in euros; your bank converts it if your card is in another currency.

Do children pay to enter the monuments?

Yes, at a reduced rate: at the Caves of Hercules, 40 DH for a foreign child aged 7 to 13; at the three Marrakech monuments, 50 DH; at the Kasbah Museum, 15 DH from 12 to 18 and 5 DH under 12, according to the official sources cited.
